SOQUA is a training programme developed and organised by the Austrian social-science research institutes SORA, ZSI and FORBA intended to provide further professional qualification in the social sciences. Aimed at recent graduates and young researchers, it offers further training in the working practice of internationally oriented social-science research. SOQUA conveys comprehensive skills and information on the practice of social-science research, project management, qualitative and quantitative methods of empirical social-science research, transdisciplinary labour studies and key issues of European research, including migration, political participation, knowledge, innovation and economics.

Seminars for staff representatives

FORBA regularly offers courses, seminars and further training measures tailored to company requirements on issues of information technology and work organisation. Drawing on the latest technological developments, these seminars provide users and staff representatives with regular updates on information systems for enterprises as well as on data protection and software-ergonomics.

In addition to their work at FORBA, several of the institute's researchers also teach at Austrian universities, thus carrying the results of current research into the universities.
